Events

The Events Calendar is designed to publicize events aimed at eliminating racism or encouraging people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds to interact with each other.   All events posted on the calendar are open to the general public and are relevant to the Twin Cities metro area.  The Events Calendar includes events sponsored by The Saint Paul Foundation and events sponsored by other organizations. Posting on the Events Calendar does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by The Saint Paul Foundation.

ASDIC Decolonization Retreat - February 13 and 14, 2010

We offer to antiracist activists an opportunity to reflect on issues the impact of colonization from multiple perspectives.


ASDIC Antiracism Study-Dialogue Circle February 20 to May 10, 2010

Join a group of 12 to 15 people meeting once a week to explore issues of race and racism and to create action plans. This intensive, highly interactive dialogue series has proven to be an effective resource for those who desire to understand, practice and be effective in the transformative work of antiracism.

Beyond Diversity - March 2 and 3, 2010

BEYOND DIVERSITY is a powerful, personally transforming two-day seminar designed to help teachers, students, parents, and administrators understand the impact of race on student learning, investigate the role that racism plays in institutionalizing academic achievement disparities, and learn about tools and strategies for addressing racial disparities in our classrooms, schools, and districts.
